This year, we welcome you to a brand new venue. A few steps (literally) from Lyon, with its 133 rooms, large conference halls and a 4 star rating Golden Tulip Eurexpo makes an excellent choice for our next Fauntastic edition !
The fully equipped with a nice terrace and a garden where the restaurant grows their own vegetables (ed: sadly, they don’t grow limes), the hotel is surrounded by a pretty public park where you can have your morning walks ! Sounds idyllic isn’t it ?
Rooms
Rooms meet your expectations with standard double-beds, comfortable and most of them having a pretty nice views. All rooms are for 2, no exceptions. Include Free wifi, ecological A/C and 24/24 room-service for those who need more.
N.B : As the hotel meets High Quality Environmental standard (HQE), you won’t find mini-fridges in your room as these little demons hold about 75% of energy consumption of a hotel room !
Breakfast
Yes the american-style buffet breakfast is included with the room, but have you tried your fresh croissants with it ?
Surroundings
For direct surroundings, pictures will talk by themselves.
Walking about 10 minutes, you will meet a shopping mall where you can find your usual supplies.
Pétanque, s’il vous plait !
We almost forgot to mention there’s a Pétanque court at the hotel. Come play some “boules” games, balls and jacks are at your disposal at the reception desk. Your non-playing friends will still be able to admire your ball-playing skills since the bar terrace is right above the court.
NB : Limes are not considered as valid balls for this game.
Travel Instructions
Airport
You will land at Aéroport Lyon St Exupéry. From here, you have different options with different prices and traveling time :
Via the Rhône Express ( 1h, 17€ )
Take the Rhône Express (you will have to buy a special ticket that cost is 17€) that goes in the direction of Gare Part Dieu. Stop at Vaulx en Velin la Soie. From there (with a regular public transport ticket), take the C15 bus going to Bachut - Mairie du 8ème. Stop at Rebufer. Then take the T2 tramway going to St Priest Bel air and step out at Parc Technologique.
Via the Public Transport ( 1h40, 1.90€ )
From Aéroport St Exupéry Gare routière, take the bus n°47 ( there are only two buses per hour ) going to Meyzieu Z.I. Stop at the terminus, Meyzieu Z.I.
Then, take the T3 tramway going to Gare Part Dieu. Stop at Vaulx en Velin la Soie.
Take the C15 bus going to Bachut - Mairie du 8ème. Stop at Rebufer.
Take the T2 tramway going to St Priest Bel air, then step out at Parc Technologique.
Train station
There are two main train stations in Lyon: Gare Perrache and Gare Part Dieu.
From Gare Perrache ( 30min ):
It’s the simplest solution. Simply take the T2 tramway going to St Priest Bel Air at Gare Perrache, and stop at Parc Technologique.
From Gare Part Dieu ( 45min ):
You’ll have to take the C13 bus going to Grange Blanche. Stop at Grange Blanche. Here, take the T2 tramway going to St Priest Bel Air, and stop at Parc Technologique.
Public transport
The Golden Tulip is located near a tramway station : T2 Parc Technologique. If you’re taking the public transports, you can buy a ticket at all the stations. A ticket costs 1,90€. The same ticket works for all public transports available : subway ( métro ), tramway, buses. It lasts an hour.
We highly recommand using the Android & iOS app “Citymapper” to travel easily around Lyon.

Car
The hotel is easily accessible by car. The hotel offers free secured parking for attendees of the convention!
